Tray is a talented multi-instrumentalist who has been performing for audiences since he was twelve years old. While playing the guitar and harmonica, Tray uses his bluesy vocal style to interpret many of the popular songs from the last 50 years along with his original compositions.
Tray released his first solo CD in 1993 titled, "Living on the Heights". This is a reference to Darlington Heights, Virginia, where he lives and operates a pottery studio.
His latest CD “It’s No Act” contains eleven original songs and features several guest musicians.
Tray moved to Central Virginia to make pottery in 1975. I built a stoneware kiln and established Cowpalace Pottery on my grandparent's retired dairy farm in Darlington Heights. My main interest has been to make and sell pottery. The work is made up of mostly functional pieces created to enhance the experience of daily life.
Making pottery creates a rewarding balance to traveling and playing music in public. I have settled into a lifestyle that allows me to enjoy the rewards of both.
"I would like to thank everyone for their continued support."- Tray Eppes
